SHIAMAK TAKES CHOREOGRAPHY 

TO A NEW LEVEL


Two packed shows witnessed something truly rare and unusual, Shiamak Style left the audiences stunned!


Guru of Contemporary Dance, Shiamak Davar wowed audiences with his latest production Selcouth. The show was true to its name, rare, unusual and marvellous. With choreography that was trademark Shiamak, it involved indo contemporary and modern movement with ballet technique. From start to the end the audiences were at the edge of their seats with moments that took their breath away.


Watching the show were Bollywood biggies Ritesh Deshmukh and Genelia, Lara Dutta, newcomer Amyra, Jackky Bhagnani, Pamela Chopra, Karan Tacker, Manasi Scott, Shaad Ali, Vivek Vaswani, Sapna Mukherjee. amongst others. Shiamak theatre guru Alyque Padamse was also present giving a standing ovation at the end. Mohoamed Morani, Ali Morani, Shirin Morani, Puneet Goenka also came to watch the show.


Shiamak is now not just a dance choreographer, but a dance imaginator and innovator said Pamela Chopra who has been a fan of Shiamak's work from the time he choreographed Yash Chopra's Dil Toh Pagal Hai. The standing ovation and thunderous applause that greeted Shiamak on stage at the end was testimony to the success of his production.


Performed by The Shiamak Davar Dance Company and graduates from Shiamak's One Year Dance Certifcation Program, the performances were flawless displaying technique, training, lifts and dance with concepts that were fresh and showed the way for the direction that dance is ready to take.


This show is extremely special for me. Today with so much violence towards animals and human live, I choreographed one piece to make people realised they now is the time to speak up and take a stand, said Shiamak.



With such a fabulous response, Shiamak promises to bring the show back. So those who missed it this time, you will have a chance very soon to catch this marvel.
