ANNOUNCES ITS MUMBAI FINALIST


Bigger & Better this year, the show announced Kanika Joshi as the regional winner from amongst thousands of contestants
Mumbai, August 11, 2014: Following the enormous popularity and raging responses from the first season of the BIG Golden Voice, 92.7 BIG FM is back with the new season with a promise to make it bigger & better. Benadryl BIG Golden Voice Season 2, the only singing talent-hunt show on radio today announced Kanika Joshi as the winner of the regional round at an event held in Mumbai. Kanika will now compete with other winners across the country on a national level for the opportunity to win a chance to sing in Shankar Mahadevan’s upcoming movie!

Starting July 10th the second season witnessed thousands of contestants registering from across the country to prove their singing prowess. Following the auditions round, five finalists were chosen out of the 15 selected auditions that took place on-air on 92.7 BIG FM. The final battle in Mumbai raged between the top five finalists – Seema Damle, Shantanu Herlekar, Tulsi Zaveri, Shaheen Khan and Kanika Joshi.


The event witnessed popular playback singer Vaishali Samant judge the finalists on the basis of their selection of song, rhythm and tone as well as the overall impact that they could provide to the songs that they chose to sing. Also present to encourage the participants were, host of the tremendously popular show Suhaana Safar - Annu Kapoor and renowned film journalist and critic Bhawana Somaaya.



92.7 BIG FM will now bring the rest of the finalists from all across the country to Mumbai where they will attend workshops on Sur Saaz and Awaaz with their assigned gurus. The winner – the only one with the BIG Golden Voice this season will be given a chance to sing in front of music maestro, Shankar Mahadevan who will give the winner a chance to sing in his upcoming movie!
