MumbaiVolvo XC40 is the first luxury car to win Premium Car of the Year 2019 at the coveted ICOTY ceremony on Thursday and also won the Compact Luxury SUV of the Year a day before at the prestigious AUTOCAR Awards. Within months of its launch, the XC40 has raised the compact luxury segment bar by offering features earlier available only in top-end luxury cars. The success of XC40 enabled Volvo cars in India to grow 40% in sales during Jan-Oct 2018 and poised to end the year on a high note.
