Election of Chairman and other office bearers of Indian Banks’ Association for 2013-14

Mr. K R Kamath, CMD, Punjab National Bank reelected Chairman, IBA

  Indian Banks' Association (IBA) announced here today that it has re-elected Punjab National Bank's (PNB) Chairman and Managing Director K R Kamath as its Chairman for 2013-14.
The Managing Committee of IBA at its meeting held on 6th June 2013 re-elected                  
  
Mr. K R Kamath, Chairman & Managing Director, Punjab National Bank as the Chairman, IBA for the term 2013-14.   
The other Office-bearers of the Association elected were Mr. T M Bhasin, Chairman & Managing Director, Indian Bank, Mr. Arun Kaul, Chairman & Managing Director, UCO Bank and Mr. Aditya Puri, Managing Director & CEO, HDFC Bank Ltd. as Deputy Chairmen and Mr. Pratip Chaudhuri, Chairman, State Bank of India as Honorary Secretary of the Association for the year 2013-14.
The Association elected its Office Bearers after the conclusion of its Annual General Meeting on 6th June 2013.

Mayor praises the footballing talent of Mumbai as he announces young stars will travel to London

The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, announced the names of the successful youngsters on the first day of his trade mission to India. Sadiq was attending the ninth annual finals day of the Mumbai Soccer Challenge and watched a challenge match to win the inaugural Mayor of London Cup. He confirmed that, for the first time in the scheme’s nine-year history, two girls as well as two boys will be heading to London. The Mayor was joined at the finals day by Bollywood screen legend and the co-owner of Mumbai City football club, Ranbir Kapoor, as well as the Chairman of Queens Park Rangers, Tony Fernandes.
