Taiwan brands’ portfolio expands with 39 brand
partners foraying into India

~ Malaika Arora Khan, renowned Bollywood actress and model launches Taiwan Excellence campaign 2013 and the ‘Taiwan Excellence Cares’
The Taiwan Excellence campaign has seen an unprecedented success in the last three years and is back with the aim to bring excellent lifestyles to India. Organized by the Bureau of Foreign Trade (BOFT), Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA), Taiwan and implemented by Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), a non- profit trade promotion organization, the fourth edition of the ‘Taiwan Excellence campaign’ was announced at a Press Conference in Mumbai, today. The big idea campaign, “Taiwan Excellence Cares”, was also launched aiming to bring out excellent lifestyles to consumers across Mainland China, India, Indonesia and Vietnam. This is the first-ever community caring program carried out by Taiwan Excellence, which is famous for its design uniqueness and functional smartness.
 
Taking inspiration from last year’s theme of ‘Creating an Excellent Home with an Excellent Lifestyle’, TAITRA renews its commitment to India and brings “Fostering Excellent Lifestyles in India with Taiwan Excellence”. The key focus for the campaign in 2013 is to showcase the ‘Innovation’, ‘Reliability’ and ‘Value’ features of the various Taiwan brands to the discerning Indian customer. This year 39 leading Taiwanese brand companies from the Information & Communication Technology (ICT); Home appliances; Sports & Leisure and Machinery industry have pledged partnership to the Taiwan Excellence 2013 Campaign. The brand partners are CHANSON, BXB, hTC, STRIDA, Vita, Kenyo, Just Power, Super Guider, Genius, Enermax, Sonostar, ADATA, Kenda, Avision, UCHEER, Edimax, Cooler Master, Carnation, RoadEZ, Karma, Transcend, Justime, KW-trio, FushanKodo, Cashido, Leadry, 3+Magi Mags, AverMedia, Unitech, Silicon Power, Orange, Shuter, INADAYS, Thermaltake, BSI, KSS, D-Link and LinkWin Technology.
 
Launching the Taiwan Excellence campaign, Ms. Emma Yang, Director, Taipei World Trade Centre Liaison Office, said, “As a symbol of reliability, innovation and value worthiness Taiwan Excellence handpicks many products that win prestigious International awards for this campaign. It represents the technological innovation and dynamism of Taiwan’s industry, offering a living experience that can revolutionize the way one lives and help create a better and more satisfying lifestyle. Our slogan ‘Excellent Lifestyles’ therefore echoes every heart’s desire for an exceptional way of life and we hope to enhance the living standard of every home and family.” 

Highlighting the need for cutting-edge technology products, she further added, “The young upwardly mobile Indian consumers are looking for convenience and labor-saving appliances in every aspect of their lives such as in office, in kitchen, etc. I am pleased to announce that the 39 brand partners will facilitate the astute Indian consumers to achieve an excellent lifestyle. This year we are also introducing machinery products that will offer customers with comprehensive, customizable yet highly competitive solutions.”

Taiwan Excellence 2013 was represented by top executives from D-Link, Transcend, Avision, Karma and Justime.

The occasion also marked the launch of an exciting CSR campaign – ‘Taiwan Excellence Cares. The first stage of Taiwan Excellence Cares will ignite passion and creativity from participants and influence consumers through social networks with the “You sign up, we donate!” concept. Participants can simply sign up at www.TaiwanExcellenceCares.com with their social media account, and for every registration, Taiwan Excellence Cares will donate US $1 to the designated local charity foundation. A total amount of US $40,000 is expected to be donated! Participants can also earn personal charity points by successfully inviting their friends to join.

The top 20 participants will enter the second stage for a real opportunity to show their love in the most innovative way and each will propose a charity plan for online public voting. The top 3 in the four markets will be given a total of US$ 120,000 worth of Taiwan Excellence products to execute the charity plan. Moreover, each one of them will be awarded a free trip to Taiwan!

Taiwan Excellence Campaign 2013 will continue to engage consumers and business associates in metro cities through various promotional activities in Mumbai, New Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai and Kolkata along with experience zones to be held in different shopping malls and Social Media platforms. From June 14 – 16 visit Inorbit Mall, Malad visit the Taiwan Excellence Home & Leisure Experience Zone to get a preview of the spectacular Taiwan brands.

TAITRA is also planning to organize retail displays at E Zones (E Zone Oberoi mall, E Zone Infinity Malad and E Zone SoBo Central) & Malls (Inorbit Malad, Inorbit Vashi, R City Ghatpokar) for the period of 6 months starting from 1st July 2013.
