Hella wins the Prestigious CII Innovation Awards-2017

Delhi : Hella India Lighting has won the
esteemed CII Industrial Innovation Awards 2017. Hella has been recognised as
Most Innovative Enterprise in India in the Mid-Size Manufacturing Companies
category. After short-listing Hella India Lighting Ltd. among the Top 26
Innovative Organisations across more than 200 Large, Medium and Small
Industries in the country, the Grand Jury announced it as the category winner
in a glittering awards ceremony hosted by Confederation of Indian Industry
(CII) at Hotel Lalit in New Delhi on October24, 2017
CII
Industrial Innovation Awards were instituted by CII in 2014 to recognise and
celebrate visionary enterprises across industry segments. These premier awards
seek to recognise and honour the Indian industry's brightest stars and to
identify the top innovative organisations.
After months
of rigorous evaluation process, site audit and Grand Jury interaction, HIL was
announced as Winner of CII Innovation Awards- 2017 and be amongst the 6 Top
Winners out of 26 most innovative organisations participated in the final
round, each in their respective Categories.
The awards
ceremony was attended by Dr. C Muralikrishna Kumar, Senior Adviser, NITI Aayog;
Dr. Naushad Forbes, Past President, Confederation of Indian Industry,
Co-Chairman, Forbes Marshall; Rajan Navani Chairman, CII Council on Future
Businesses, 2017-18 & Managing Director, Jetline Group; Kris
Gopalakrishnan, Chairman, CII Start-up Council, Chairman Axilor Ventures and
Co-founder, Infosys; and Dr Sacha Wunsch-Vincent, Co-Editor, Global Innovation
Index & Senior Economist, WIPO.

HIL showcased its companywide innovation framework and
presented the following innovative products developed for Indian Automotive
Segment:
The first of its kind LED based “Fit & Forget “Maintenance Free Stop &
Tail Lamps reduce the alarming number of road deaths on highways. The fully
sealed, water and dust proof, vibration resistant and Go-Green product improves
battery life, fuel efficiency and needs thinner wiring across the vehicle with
80% less power consumption.
Modular Projector Head Lamps in a unique Semi Customisation approach achieve an
excellent cost innovation for Low Volume, high variety Indian OEMs of select
market segments, to bring state of the art technology at an affordable cost.
One example of cost saving is less tooling investment and quick development
time, as core design remains the same yet differentiation is achieved via
flexible styling.
