Thalassemia Awareness Drive

Navi Mumbai : Thalassemia Awareness Drive, An initiative by Rotary Club of Satellite City Navi Mumbai took place at Seawood Grand Central Mall, Navi Mumbai on 18th & 19th November 2017.
Rotary Club of Satellite City Navi Mumbai had organised a Thalassemia awareness poster exhibition on 18th & 19th November 2017 at Seawood Grand Central Mall, Navi Mumbai. Thalassemia awareness posters were made by some of the renowned School and College students of Navi Mumbai.
The event was graced by Smt. Mandakini Mhatre, Deputy Mayor NMMC (centre one with shawl) and Smt. Anita Manvatkar, Corporator, Navi Mumbai (extreme right) along withrenowned Doctors, Principals, Teachers and Students of the participating schools and colleges and Senior Rotary members.
Thalassemia is an inherited blood disorder which leads to acute anaemia. There is no cure to this condition but treatments will help the patient lead to normal life. The best way to prevent for couples to undergo prenatal test in early stage of pregnancy.
