Jakson commissions 10 MW Solar 

Plant for NTPC


Jakson Group-India’s leading Power Solutions Company, announced the timely completion of 10 MW Solar power plant project for leading state-owned power generation company, NTPC at Talcher, Orissa. The plant was inaugurated by Mr. Arup Roy Choudhury, Chairman and Managing Director, NTPC Limited. Senior officials from Jakson, BHEL and NTPC were present at the occasion.

The EPC for the project was awarded to Jakson by BHEL. 2 MW solar power plants are installed inside the NTPC complex and 8 MW plant is located at a distance of 2 km from NTPC unit. Both the plants have been constructed using three unique and different civil structure designs suitable for the varied soil types in the region and are monitored with a single state-of-the-art SCADA system.

Commenting on the commissioning of the project, Mr. Sundeep Gupta, Jt. Managing Director, Jakson Group said “We are delighted to complete the project despite the stiff civil construction challenges faced at the site. With successful completion of NTPC project, we look forward to get more projects from both government and private sector in the solar power business and maintain our leadership position.”
