First edition of Holland
Meets Mumbai!
Presented by the Consulate General Kingdom of the Netherlands
1st – 7th June, 2015
An initiative to showcase what the Netherlands has to
offer, displaying the Dutch experience across various themes; art, innovation,
food, sports, music, films, etc.
Holland meets Mumbai will see the presence of the
Dutch Prime Minister, Mark Rutte
along with his trade delegation
List of
events to be hosted as a part of
‘Holland
meets Mumbai’:

This will
showcase a live food counter and Dutch food displays
-
Will be
inaugurated by the Dutch Consul General who will take you through all the foods
on display as well as cook some Dutch food at the live food counter
· Special Dutch menu at White Owl Restaurant,
Lower Parel

A specially curated Dutch menu selection at the
restaurant for a week

include two Dutch drinks

Street
Art:

– 5th June, 2015

Collaboration
between Amsterdam Street Art and St-Art India foundation.

Artists
Jarno Gnirrep, Lars Brehm, Tyler and Jas, will be working on two murals in
Dharvai and Bandra as well as at the Holland Village.

The painting
will include a portrait of a face; half of an Indian sportsperson and half of a
Dutch sportsperson

Opening
of the first Cruyff court in India:

At St
Xaviers Football ground, Parel on 6th June

This is a
football turf that will be inaugurated for public use.

The (Johan)
Cruyff Foundation of Netherlands has entered into a partnership with Mumbai
District Football Association (MDFA) to set up a specially designed court
adjacent the St Xavier's football ground in Parel, Central Mumbai, to encourage
children to play.
-
A Cruyff
Court (named after the legendary Dutch footballer) is a smaller sized football
field suitable for seven-a-side game.
-
The Cruyff
Courts provide a safe place where children can play football, but they are
designed to be much more than just a football pitch.
-
It will be
opened by Mrs. Lilianne Ploumen, Minister for Foreign Trade & Development
Co-operation.

The Holland
Village will showcase a model windmill, KLM Dutch airplane, five Dutch houses, Dutch
brands and their innovative products.

zone would be to highlight e-mobility that will showcase Dutch charging
technology and an Indian electric car.

Minister, Mark Rutte will visit the village along with his trade delegation,
Minister of Agriculture and Minister of Foreign trade & development on 6th
June, 2015
