come together at Beetle’s Tech Fashion Tour 2016

Mumbai, 21st Sept 2016:The
much anticipated Beetle’s Tech Fashion
Tour 2016, organized by Exhibit Technologies
was a roaring success not only because of the endless talent it displayed to
the country’s fashion enthusiasts but also because of the latest gadgets that
offered to the tech savvy aficionados. An evening where fashion and technology
was celebrated together with the showcasing of special 3D printed dress with an
attempt to emphasize on fashion’s influence on technology and surprisingly it
was loved by one and all.
The evening was brought together by Exhibit Technologies and
sponsored by Beetle by Volkswagen. LaCie,
the premium brand from Seagate; Dell Inc; NuBand
and VU technologies were
the technology partner and also showcased their new launches. Jean Claude Biguine (JCB) was the style
partner for the evening and NGO Smile Foundation was the Charity partner for
the event where they promoted Mission
Education #MYMISSIONEDUCATION of sending 25,000 children to school and
gifting them a happy childhood.
Bettle’s Tech Fashion Tour was
attended by who’s who of the Bollywood and industrialist including Sonu Sood,
Prabhudeva, Dino Morea, Tushar Kapoor, Mugdha Godse, Claudia Ciesla, Gautam
Gulati while leading fashion designers
showcased their collection.
On this glorious night EXHIBIT Group Founder & CEO, Mr. Ramesh
Somani expressed, “Today technology and style co-exist. Soon wearable
technology will be a possibility in India. Infact designers today are
increasingly experimenting with how to embed things like electronics and connected
devices into their collections. The very near future demands seamless
convergence of Technology & Fashion. Tech Fashion Tour is a very unique
property and we are happy to be the first to embark on this journey.”
The second edition of Beetle’s Tech Fashion
Tour 2016 created a huge impact considering the fabulous line-up of designers
who showcased their exquisite collection some of them inspired by technology.
Designer
Shravan Kumar
opened the show with his collection inspired by technology focusing on resort
wear SS 17. Straight cut
silhouettes, mid calf, semi transparent and layered garments with
white on white palette with surprise accents of neon green
showcase the nature blending with technology. The collection is very
relaxed with lightweight textiles.
This was
followed by Vizyon who presented
their new line, which was designed keeping in mind the underlying theme of
fashion meets technology. The collection incorporates elements such
as silicon, transparent plastic, leather, neoprene, silicon print on neoprene,
silicon print on leather, iridescent sequins, black lurex fabric & metallic
sheet cutouts that are not only reminiscent of the theme but also implement new
techniques in fabric creation. One of the highlights of the collection is the
application of silicone printing on neoprene, this technique id very unique and
perfectly illustrates how Vizyon has been innovative in using technology to
enhance fashion. VU Technologies Brand Ambassador and CEO, Devita Saraf walked
for Vizyon as the Showstopper.
The next in
line was Designer Rajat Tangri who
presented his collection inspired by the luxurious Baroque interiors and Art
deco. The premium evening wear collection features elaborately embroidered
cocktail dress with easy separates. Intense palette of oxblood, teal, nude and
black narrates the sensual love affair with mysterious nights. Signature sleek
cuts and modern men's silhouette are splashed with delicate bird motifs
symbolizing the care free spirit of urban nocturnal breed. Actor Sonu Sood and
Prabhu Deva walked for Designer Rajat Tangri as his showstopper
Another breathtaking collection was presented by Designer Nandita Mahtani, who launched
her Autumn Winter 2016 collection at the Tech Fashion Tour. She showcased her latest line inspired by her travel diaries as part of her
beach resort collection which comprised of sensual silhouettes with feminine,
light embroidery on Chiffon and Georgette.Her palette comprises of
pastel hues like lemon yellow, blush pink, powder blue and rose splash with
exquisite quality of embroideries put together on rich fabrics; embodying the
distinctive traits of romance at the beach, which every woman desires.
Designer Vikram Phadnis concluded the grand Soiree in style. Vikram’s collection focused on
the Magic of the Night. It was about the shades and the mysterious yet alluring
elements of the night. The collection featured Blacks, Greys and Silvers with
hints of Whites in the color palette. The silhouettes showcased an array of
gowns, Draped Saris, Long flowy skirts, Jumpsuits as well as Tuxedos, Jackets
and Bandhgalas each containing elements and atmospherics of the nights and were
heavily embellished with intricate Silver embroideries on every garment.
