Mumbai, December 15, 2017: Maria Goretti is set to return to the small screen this December with ‘I Want To Bake Free’ on premium lifestyle channel, Living Foodz. The beautifully lensed show explores the nuanced world of baking and simplifies the daunting aspects of baking for viewers.
Set to air on December 20, ‘I Want To Bake Free’ will break the myth that baking is difficult and/or is restricted to only desserts. Maria will demonstrate a wide range of sweet and savoury dishes that viewers can easily try at home. The show will feature special episodes for Christmas and Valentine's’ Day and an episode dedicated to baking recipes that can be tried out with children.

Unique breads like Poee, Australian Soda Bread and Butter Beer Bread, unique savouries and eye-popping desserts like Mille Feuille, Tomato Cobbler, Caramel Apples, Ghost Cake and Unicorn Macarons make ‘I Want To Bake Free’ a delightful pleasure for all - baker or a food lover.
Maria has experimented with a wide range of gluten-free breads such as corn bread, tapioca bread, potato bread using alternatives to maida or all-purpose flour. Viewers can follow Maria’s simple tips and step-by-step recipes to whip-up pastries, tarts, quiches, cookies, puddings, cheesecakes, muffins, a quirky Thandai mousse and Maria’s favourite Pao de Queijo (Brazilian cheese balls). Sharing her experience as a host, Maria Goretti says, “Baking is my first love! When I wanted to try my hand at cooking, I started with baking. I was always inspired by shows on television and it is great to collaborate with Living Foodz after the success of my previous show ‘I Love Cooking’. ‘I Want to Bake Free’ is a show which makes baking aspirational, yet simple. Most Indians are fond of cooking, yet don’t try their hand at baking. With our show, viewers can now experiment with baking within the comfort of their homes. I hope we inspire them to fill their homes with the aroma of freshly baked cookies or bread this Christmas!
Mr. Amit Nair, Business Head, Living Foodz says, “After receiving a heart-warming response for I Love Cooking, we are delighted to collaborate with Maria for ‘I Want To Bake Free’. The show aims to reignite the love for baking among our viewers. It is a reflection of Maria’s personality and her immense passion for the art of baking. The unconventional take on baking presented with this show is a new and different concept explored by the channel. We look forward to the launch.”
