EDUCATION/SOCIAL
Students to ‘Paint Happiness’ in the
lives of
orphan children
Maya
Academy of Advanced Cinematics (MAAC) – leader in 3D Animation and VFX
training with the support of its students’ community kick started its first
social campaign named ‘Paint Happiness’ on April 22, 2013. It’s a three day
long activity where MAAC students from its various centres would paint and
beautify the walls of 7 orphanages across Mumbai, Thane and Navi Mumbai.
The prime objective of this noble
cause is to bring smiles on the faces
of the orphan kids, spread happiness and inculcate social values among students
to initiate small steps towards their first socially responsible activity at
this young age. Through this social cause, the students get an opportunity to
showcase their creativity in the form of paintings and create a better
atmosphere for the not so privileged children. Various fun activities such as
indoor games, watching favourite cartoon films, learning basic drawing skills
and painting would be organized for the children throughout the campaign.
MAAC students from Thane, Mulund, Powai, Vashi,
Dadar & Borivali, Andheri and Malad centres will participate and paint
walls of the selected orphanages like Janani Ashish (Dombivali), Vatsalya Trust
(Kanjurmarg), Balanand orphanage (Chembur), Girija Balgruha orphanage
(Kharghar), Ashray (Bandra West), St. Catherine’s Home (Andheri West) and
Thomas Shelter (Kandivali West) respectively.
Ms. Bhavika Chouhan, Sr. VP –
Marketing said, “We wish to serve the society in our own little way. Painting
is a wonderful gesture to express one’s love and care. Through ‘Paint
Happiness’ we intend to involve our students in the noble cause and fill the
hearts of orphan children with joy.”
At the commencement of the
activity, Mr. Ram Warrier, Business Head, MAAC said,” We believe the best way
to make someone feel special is giving them your valuable time and sharing
their joys and sorrows. We hope this brings a feeling of brotherhood and binds
the children and students with laughter and joy.”
