Do you have what it takes to be crowned India’s No. 1 Family?
Well, here’s your chance to prove it! Pepsodent in association with DD National
launched Pepsodent Family No. 1, a
reality game show that will see 48 families participate and compete in this All
India game show over a span of 6 months. With prizes such as a Family car, an
all expense paid trip to Hong Kong Disneyland, a motorbike and a full year’s
supply of Pepsodent up for grabs; the show promises to be a complete family
entertainer.
Mr. Gajendra Singh, Director; Mr. Mukesh Sharma, Additional Director General, Marketing,
Prasar Bharati, Mr. Ashok Chakradhar, Celebrated Poet and show hosts
Mr. Rajiv Thakur of Comedy Circus and The Great Indian Laughter Challenge fame
and Afsha Musani who anchored Sa Re Ga Ma L’il Champs, unveiled Pepsodent Family No.1 at a fun event
held on the sets of the show in Mumbai today.
Through the 90 second games, Pepsodent Family No.1 - Rahein Saath, Khelein Saath (Stay Together,
Play Together) aims to illuminate the basic building blocks of a happy family -
values like love, affection, care, co-ordination, trust, bonding and togetherness.
The show consists of four key rounds - “Ek Se Badhkar Ek”, “Do
Do Haath”, “Hum Saath Saath Hain” and “Aakhri Daav”. The first two rounds fetch
the families 4 points each, third round fetches eight points each and the last
round helps them win 16 points each.
With every point earned, they kill a germ on their “Pepsodent
Germ-o-meter”. We have two mascots on the Show. “Keeto” who symbolizes the
germs in our gums and the germs on the “Germ-o-meter”. “Pepso” who is the Hero
and is the one who kills the germs symbolizing “Pepsodent” (The germ killer).
Every time a team earns points, “Pepso” enters from behind the “Germ-o-meter”
and kills the germs, using his sword as a prop.

which will be travelling through the hearts of India and bring to the dias the
"colors of India" through family teams who will contest, play, enjoy
and set the stage alive when they are shoulder to shoulder crossing various
hurdles and rounds in this show.

for us. Pepsodent is the presenting sponsor of "Family No.1" and it
is through their initiative and support that we were able together to get this

Elucidating about the show, Mr. Gajendra Singh, Director

When Doordarshan and Mindshare approached me for a family game show, I was extremely thrilled to conceptualize and develop this show. Our idea is to make 'Pepsodent Family No.1' a household brand and for the audiences it shall be a totally different experience all together.”

About his association with Pepsodent for Family No. 1, Mr.

Family Toothpaste brand, DD National – a channel I grew up watching and Mr.
Gajendra Singh – who has given me this wonderful opportunity. As a comedian, it
is my job to make the audience laugh and hence it is vital that they have nice
shiny white teeth, which I am sure most of them have by using Pepsodent! This
initiative is particularly unique as it aims to create awareness about oral
health by using entertainment as a hook. I am excited about interacting with
families from all over India through this show and reaching viewers in remote towns
