Mumbai, June 8, 2016: Want to understand how business deals are striked? Eager to study the global business management mantras? Are you creating a start-up but don’t know how to design a strong business plan? Now you can study all aspects of global trade including how to start a company at the very hub of it all – The World Trade Centre, Mumbai.
The World Trade Institute is the educational branch of the World Trade Centre, Mumbai that was set up in 1991 and has built a strong reputation as being India’s most innovative foreign trade institution. The institute's educational programs are aimed at creating professionals in related industries of global trade, logistics and shipping and start-ups. The WTI has even got the honour of being named as the 'Best Practice Institute' by World Trade Center’s Association (WTCA), New York.
WTI faculty includes experts from international trade with hands on experience in exports and imports. Students also get a chance to meet international delegates, which come at WTC and are invited to participate in the discussions. All courses include field visits in industries, ports and manufacturing hubs.
The courses offered by WTI are well-recognized by the industry and entrepreneurs in India as well as abroad. So far, the WTI has trained over 10,000 students /professionals through their various courses.
Admissions are now open for three major courses at WTI.
PG Diploma in Foreign Trade:
Duration: six months. Mon-Wed-Fri 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm
Topics covered: International marketing, Customs management, Exim Financial Management, Foreign Trade Policy, Logistics Management and Legal aspects
PG Diploma in Logistics and Shipping:
Duration: Three months
Tues-Thursday – 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm
Topics covered: Nature, role and scope of international logistics, difference between domestic and global trade, input and output model of financial logistics, export costing pricing, shipping services and warehouse management, role of ITES in shipping and logistics and with special focus on logistics of export documents.
Certified Course in Small Business Start-ups:
Duration: Three months. Saturdays: 10.30 am-5.30 pm
Topics covered: How to own and operate a small business, business plans, their financial and tax planning, principles of marketing, E-marketing, international trade, customs and supply chain management.
