' My Father My Anchor' - a Unique Cricket League by Sportobuddy

Indian sporting platform Sportobuddy launched the first edition of their distinctive cricket league in a unique Test-T20 style where the T20 over format was divided in two innings, 10 overs each. However, the key vision of this league was to fortify the bond between a father and his child. It was a great opportunity for fathers to rekindle their passion for cricket while batting for their biggest fan. The league, aptly named "My Father My Anchor" consisted of 8 teams: Brawny Bulls, Greatwhite Tuskers, Mystic Jaguars, Power Panthers, Raging Rhinos, Roaring Lions, Savage Sharks and Super Eagles. The tournament was played in stages starting with the league matches, moving to the semis, and ending with the grand finale, that took place on April 30th.
Since its inception on April 14th, the league has garnered a lot of positive response from its corporate sponsors with a promise of a larger second edition in January 2018. Our heartiest congratulations go out to the winner of the maiden edition, Raging Rhinos along with first and second runners-up Super Eagles and Greatwhite Tuskers respectively.
Mr. Sunil Kukadia & Mr. Rahul Mehta from Locobuddy Mobile Technology Pvt. Ltd., presented the winning team with the trophy among a host of other laurels and prizes. Played in a unique manner of blending the strategy of test cricket with the adrenaline-rush of T20 cricket, this tournament ended up being a big hit among the players and the audience alike. The league matches were played on the breezy Wilson Gymkhana ground while the semis and finals were battled out on the grand Air India Cricket Ground in Kalina, Mumbai. The players, all avid cricketers, thoroughly enjoyed this fun and fast-paced format which not only tested their endurance, but also their tactical prowess.
Everyone has been bowled over by this unique initiative from Sportobuddy, a brand under Locobuddy Mobile Technology Pvt. Ltd. Little wonder then, we are looking forward to even more action coming through a sporting platform that is poised to change the way families participate and play sports in this country.
