Vienna Voted The Most Livable City In The World For The Eighth Time

by Shrutee K/DNS

What thrills millions of visitors to Vienna is confirmed for the eighth time by a renowned, international city comparison: Vienna is number one in every way. Each year, the international consulting firm Mercer carries out a study to assess the quality of life in 231 cities around the world. The results of the study in 2017 also gave Vienna top marks and made the Austrian federal capital the most livable city in the world for the eighth time in a row. The survey compares the political, social and economic climate, medical care, education, and infrastructural conditions such as public transportation, power and water supply. It also takes into consideration recreational offers such as restaurants, theaters, cinemas, sports facilities, the availability of all kinds of consumer goods from food to cars, as well as environmental conditions - from green space to air quality. www.mercer.com

New – Vienna City Card
Starting with 1st of April 2017 there are some new features for Vienna-Card users and partners! Besides the visual edit of the Vienna-Card, we will launch three whole new versions of the most popular city-card of Vienna.

NEW: VIENNA CITY CARD - the official Vienna-Card in a new Look!
During the relaunch of the brand presence, the layout of the Vienna-Card got renewed as well. In the future, the Vienna-Card will present itself as modern and flashy as the VIENNA CITY CARD - the official Vienna-Card. Also, the traditional coupon booklet got a new design and is now called BONUS BOOK and we are happy to say that there are a lot of new attractions included. The long-known detachable coupons got replaced by bar codes, which are to be scanned at our partner attractions and directly printed on the Vienna City Card.
New version of the Vienna City Card: NOW WITH HOP-ON HOP-OFF OPTION! Starting with April 1st, visitors also have the possibility to buy the Vienna City Card as a hop-on hop-off version in collaboration with Big Bus Vienna. To ensure clarity, the new design of the Vienna City Card will be red for the already known Wiener Linien City-Card version and white for the Big Bus Vienna edition. Both versions offer discounts for more than 210 tourist attractions in Vienna for 24, 48 or 72 hours at costumer's choice.
The Wiener Linien version will cost between EUR 13,90 and EUR 24,90 - depending on the chosen valid time. The Big Bus Version costs between EUR 28,00 and EUR 35,00, also depending on the chosen valid time. Especially families will profit from the Vienna City Card - as children are allowed to ride for free - in the Big Bus version up to the age of sixteen, in the Wiener Linien version until the age of fifteen. We are very happy that we are able to offer further possibilities, not only to Viennese Tourists for exploring the city but also to YOU, our distribution partners. You can now respond to the wishes of your costumers even better, with an extended range of choices.

  1. A beautiful way of explanation. I'm interested to read this kind of blog.

My family was supposed to go on vacation. However, my wife caught the flu and was unable to travel. We spoke to the representative and informed him about the current situation. He suggested that we can change or cancel our travel tickets according to the official guidelines of Air France Cancellation Policy. We missed free cancellation because it can be done within 24 hours of the original booking.
