Hoffmann Group bags Red Dot Design Award for “GARANT digital caliper”

Mumbai, 8 April 2019 – The Hoffmann Group, Europe's leading system partner for quality tools, has won the prestigious Red Dot Award 2019. The jury of experts awarded the prize to the “GARANT digital caliper IP67 with data output” in the “Tools” category. The prize is awarded annually in 48 categories and recognizes outstanding industry design and the best concepts.

The new “GARANT digital caliper IP67 with data output” has a particularly sophisticated design. The large LCD display is embedded in a clearly structured stainless steel body and displays measurement values at an easily legible size of 11.5 millimeters. An ergonomically shaped Santoprene surface attached to the body affords the necessary grip for working in dusty, wet or oily environments. Thanks to the auto-sleep and auto-power-on functions, power consumption is low and the device is easy to use: The system switches into power-saving mode automatically after 20 minutes; moving it again reactivates it immediately. There is no loss of measurement values or zero point. The tool complies with protection class IP67 and is protected against dust, water, coolant and oil, even when the data cable is connected.
