Pradip Overseas announces Industrial Hub Project in Gujarat

~Project expected to attract approximately Rs 3500 crores of investment~

Pradip Overseas Limited, (POL) the nation’s leading textile group has announced its plans to set up an Industrial Hub at Bhamsara, Bavla Taluka of Ahmedabad in Gujarat. Catering to multiple sectors, the Industrial hub would be spread over in about 18,00,000 sq. yards POL plans to develop an integrated and organized infrastructure platform for Industries with focus on Textiles, Engineering, Auto Ancillaries, Logistics and Warehousing activities. The proposed industrial hub is projected to attract approximately Rs 3500 crores of investment & would generate more than 10,000 jobs for skilled and unskilled workers in the coming years.  

Bhamsara village is situated on the National Highway no. 8A, at Bavla Taluka, in Ahmedabad District Gujarat State.  The project site at Bhamsara is well connected by road, rail and air to all the main cities of Gujarat as well as major cities of India. Also, its geographical location is accessible from almost all the major ports in the state of Gujarat. It is a part of National Highway 8, which runs through the state of Gujarat & falls under the DMIC influence region. Bhamsara village also falls under the Special Investment Region (SIRs) category of the government. These benefits make it one of the most preferred investment destinations of the state. Identified as one of the most preferred destinations to facilitate industrial investment, POL’s industrial Hub at Bhamsara is a project directed towards escalating the development process within the State.

As part of the project, POL has proposed to provide developed industrial plots with adequate storage and handling facilities. The basic infrastructure such as water treatment plant, effluent treatment plant, power distribution system, internal roads, drainage, and drinking water lines will be provided by POL. At a later stage, POL also plans to develop affordable housing options within the industrial hub, for the workers, supervisor and mid level executive of units in the hub.

Announcing the setting up Bhamsara industrial hub project, Mr. Pradip Karia, CMD of Pradip Overseas Ltd. Said “We believe Bhamsara has all the potential to become one of the most profitable industrial hubs of the country given its excellent accessibility. Our project at Bhamsara is an effort to foster and facilitate the industrial growth of the region. The entire project will be implemented over a period of two years. Once operational, the hub is expected to register a direct increase in the revenue flow to the state in terms of more investments and job opportunities.”

During the initial 6 to 8 months of planning, designing, drawing and getting statutory approvals for the project, common infrastructure like site development, roads, boundary wall would also be completed in the initial phase. In the next phase, other infrastructure facilities like water supply, Effluent treatment plant, Power supply drainage and sewage would be installed, followed by installation, erection and commissioning of common ancillary equipment.
