new collection in Delhi for 
the very first time

September 24, 2015: Zoya, the chain of exquisite diamond boutiques from the House of Tata, presented “The Spirit of the Zoya Woman”, the second in a series of conversations over coffee,with iconic women achievers who exemplify the brand’s approach to its creations.  The muse for the evening was well known actor and TV anchor Mandira Bedi. The designer had glamourized sarees as a fashion statement with her iconic noodle strap blouses, during her stint as a sports presenter. The evening included a preview of Mandira’s autumn-winter collection of sarees, and was extra special as it marked her debut as a presenting designer in the capital for the very first time.

The evening had guests and media interacting with Mandira Bedi and Sangeeta Dewan, master designer for Zoya. A housefull of Delhi’s high society showed up in support of Mandira’s first showing in the capital including Sanjay Kapoor, Jas Arora, Ramola Bachchan, Shabnam Singhal and also Mandira’s family. An engaging discussion on Mandira's journey as a designer was facilitated by Gitika Taraporewala, Managing Partner of Criesse Communications. The 16 looks presented by models from Shock Talent through the evening were complemented by the finest pieces from Zoya’s stunning collections including Wedding, Lace, Fire and Jewels of the Rajputana.

Zoya’s Lace draws inspiration from different kinds of needle work including crochet, lace, embroidery, tatting, braids crochet, lace, knots, knitting, tassels and more. Zoya’s craftsmen create tales of enchantment and mystery with an intricate blend of brilliantly cut diamonds and gold to create pieces that areelegant and versatile. The collection includes stunning neckpieces, bracelets, earrings and finger rings.

Diamonds are set in gold, white or yellow, for Zoya’s Wedding Collection. Designed to fit contemporary and classic wear, the collection has delicate floral and spiral designs, and includes precious gems such as rubies, drop pearls and emeralds as well. Beautifully cut diamonds - baguette, round, marquise, oval and pear in flowing designs make the collection unforgettable.

The crisp winter air, the soft autumn hues and the colors of festivity are the prime inspiration behind Mandira’s Autumn Winter Collection. Vibrant colors in fabrics that flatter the form, embellished with intricate handcrafted embroidery in graphic patterns are the hallmark of this collection.
