ZF Marine showcases strengths at INMEX 2015

Mumbai. ZF Marine, the marine propulsion systems business unit of the ZF Group is showcasing at INMEX 2015, a wide range of products including thrusters, transmissions and technology for inland shipping and coastal transport, available for customers in India.  
A trusted partner of many vessel owners, shipyards and engine OEMs in India’s marine industry, ZF has a proven track record of supplying more than 1,000 units of transmissions and thrusters for various applications ranging from inland cargo barges to sophisticated military vessels. Eastern Navigation, Chowgule Shipping and Goa Shipyard are some of India’s companies using ZF Marine’s products and services.

With inland and coastal cargo, and inland waterways forming a significant segment of the ZF Marine’s business in India, multiple barges, crew boats, work boats, ferry crafts, pilot boats, port of loading (POL) carriers, small tugs and offshore support vessels across the country are installed with ZF transmissions and thrusters.

ZF Marine recently launched the ZF 3300 PTI and expanded its product offering in the already established hybrid-ready product portfolio. Designed to be powered through standard diesel engine input, or via an alternate power source through a Power Take In (PTI), this transmission brings a hybrid ready solution suitable for all types of high speed pleasure and commercial applications. The ZF W10000 transmission introduced at the 2014 SMM show in Hamburg is designed specifically for the commercial craft segment.

In India, ZF Marine is supported by two well-known service dealers in the marine industry: Dynatron Services and Yeoman Marine. The service dealers have a large presence in the Indian market with offices/workshops at Chennai, Mumbai, Visakhapatnam, Goa, Kolkata, Karwar and Delhi. Together with its service dealers, ZF Marine has one of the largest service networks in India, offering the complete range of service support activities from inspection to major overhauls. A team of highly skilled engineers undergo regular training and skills upgrading at ZF factories across the globe and ZF’s technical center in Dubai.

INMEX SMM India is the merger of two mega maritime events – INMEX India and SMM India and is being held in Mumbai from 23 September to 25 September at the Bombay Exhibition Centre.
