Ricoh India and WWF-India launch the Pentax Papilio 8.5x21 WF binoculars

        Bringing nature closer to wildlife enthusiasts

Mumbai, 13th October 2016: With its endeavor to enhance wildlife viewing in finest detail without disturbing its natural habitat, Ricoh India and WWF-India today launched an exclusive edition of co-branded Pentax Papilio 8.5x21 WF binocularsRICOH Pentax Papilio binoculars come equipped with unique features - fully multi-coated optics and aspherical lenses for edge-to-edge clarity and sharpness, a unibody design and extreme close focusing capability, ideal for nature trails, wildlife viewing and travel, as they are equipped with close focus of just 50 cm. It is a first of its kind endeavor by an imaging company in India to support biodiversity conservation.
This joint endeavor is an extension of ‘Project Nature Watch’, an ongoing CSR collaboration between the two organizations. Under this project, Ricoh and WWF-India joined hands on to strengthen wildlife and marine conservation across India. The CSR project aims at providing need-based infrastructure support to frontline and field staff working in the forest and marine areas respectively as well as monitoring species such as the red panda, snow leopard, tiger, elephant, rhino, Olive Ridley turtle and other fish diversity, coral reefs, cetaceans and marine mammals that face threat.
