Mumbai: The Piaggio Group adds to the Moto Guzzi portfolio in India by introducing two new launches in the country, namely the V9 and MGX -21. These bikes will be available through the Group’s Motoplexs in Pune, Chennai, Kochi, Hyderabad and Chennai and will add to Moto Guzzi’s existing India portfolio of Audace, ElDorado, California Touring 1400, California Touring Custom and Griso SE. With the Vespa, Aprilia and now Moto Guzzi, Piaggio Group’s India portfolio boasts of a diverse range of products appealing to patrons across all segments.
The V9, a mid-sized custom bike, will be available in two versions –Roamer and Bobber, each with its own distinct style and appeal. The V9 Roamer and Bobber are Moto Guzzi’s easy cruisers, light, agile and built for excitement, like all Moto Guzzi’s at Mandello del Lario, Italy. Synonymous with construction quality, versatility and inimitable style, V9 Bobber and Roamer stand out for their high grade components and finishing.
The Roamer takes the baton handed off by the Nevada from Moto Guzzi and comes on the scene as an elegant and universal custom whereas the Bobber represents the darker and sporty soul of Moto Guzzi with its total black look. The V9 debuts the new 850cc twin cylinder euro 4 engine, whose unprecedented torque, smoothness and responsiveness improves the ride of both the cruisers. The full complement of factory equipment includes ABS, adjustable traction control that can also be disabled, immobilizer and a USB port.
On the other hand, the MGX-21 is dedicated to motorcycle lovers who love to travel in total relaxation without going un-noticed. The MGX -21 is the newest bike from the famed line which begun in the early 1900s, when Moto Guzzi started building motorcycles, strictly assembled by hand as unique collector’s items. The MGX – 21 marks the brand’s entry into the bagger segment of the market with a vehicle that breaks the mold with its unconventional style.
Reflecting Moto Guzzi’s heritage of originality and courage, the MGX -21 combines the sensation of perfect harmony with a muscular looking motorcycle. The construction, craftsmanship and the quality of the components selected for this model are exceptional. With its high technical sophistication, refined design, richness of carbon parts and the powerful 90° transverse V-twin engine, the MGX - 21 provides driving pleasure. It also includes a luxurious and ultra-complete instrumentation that incorporates a true entertainment system. The equipment is completed by all of the most advanced safety devices such as ABS, adjustable traction control which can also be disabled, the Ride-by-Wire accelerator and cruise control. The internal trembling and vibrations felt even before you climb on board multiply when the 90° V-twin engine starts up. To celebrate a style so personal, powerful and brave, the new MGX – 21 has been given the evocative nickname ‘Flying Fortress’. The MGX – 21 will be available on order only.
