Indus Health Plus conducts women special free health check-up for SNDT College students

Mumbai: On the occasion of International Women’s Day; Indus Health Plus, a pioneer in preventive healthcare conducted free preventive health check-up for female students of SNDT college of Arts, Science and Commerce, Marine Lines, today to celebrate the spirit of womanhood. Around 120 female students  came for the check-up process. The objective of this initiative was to create awareness in women to reduce the risk of lifestyle diseases by emphasising on the importance of preventive health check-up as they are the integral part of the family and society. 
Commenting on this initiative Ms. Kanchan Naikawadi, Founder and Director, Indus Health Plus said, “Our aim is to educate women about the importance of preventive healthcare and making healthier choices for family’s good health. Besides lifestyle modification, preventive health check-ups and early diagnosis can reduce risk of lifestyle diseases amongst women.” For this activity, a special team of doctors and technicians helped the students undergo the checkup procedure to achieve utmost accuracy in the tests and to ensure smooth functioning overall. The check-up included general examination of BMI, weight, BP, Pulse, Temperature, Pallor, Gynaecology history and random Blood sugar. The Reports of the tests were given on the same day.

Mayor praises the footballing talent of Mumbai as he announces young stars will travel to London

The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, announced the names of the successful youngsters on the first day of his trade mission to India. Sadiq was attending the ninth annual finals day of the Mumbai Soccer Challenge and watched a challenge match to win the inaugural Mayor of London Cup. He confirmed that, for the first time in the scheme’s nine-year history, two girls as well as two boys will be heading to London.
