Wonder Cement Celebrating 46th National Safety Week

Udaipur: Wonder Cement Limited celebrates 46th National safety week from 4th March to 10th March, 2017. The program started with the pledge on 4th March and concluded on 10th March through closing ceremony. The Closing ceremony was organized on 10th of march, 2017. All employees, associates and other stakeholder were present. Sh J R Gautam was chief guest of the function. The Program was inaugurated through safety flag hoisting and the lighting of lamp by Sh J R Gautam, Sh S M Joshi-President by all members and dignitaries present over there. Sh Ashish Mukherjee, DGM- Safety shared safety statistics of calendar year 2016 with the audience and briefly explained safety activities and initiatives taken by WCL during the year.
Sh J R Gautam, Deputy Chief inspector of factories and boilers, Govt Of Rajasthan, shared his view on the importance of safety in our personal and professional life and expressed his satisfaction on safety initiatives taken by Wonder Cement Limited since last years. Sh S M Joshi-President, Works shared his views on the safety theme of the national safety week of 2017 ‘Leadership on safety and health enhances business sustainability’. He advised employees to remember individual roles and responsibilities towards safety and onstrate their safety commitment through leadership.
A speech competition was organized for employees on ‘My contribution in developing safety at Wonder Cement LTD’. Shortlisted employees shared their perception and experiences through this event. Winners of this competition were selected by distinguished guest. To increase safety awareness, during the week, different safety related competitions like quiz, posters, slogan, essay, emergency drill, etc. were organized for employees, associates and family members. Participants were awarded with token gifts to recognize their participation in competitions. Sh Pradeep Jain, GM- Quality control give votes of thanks to all employees, associates and dignitaries for their presence in a closing ceremony.

It was great to know that Wonder Cement has made safety standards their priority during the National Safety Week. Such programs go a long way in creating awareness and helping in the development of the correct safety culture at the workplace. We also appreciate fostering improved health and safety within companies at Safety Circle, and it is great to see proactive actions from businesses. It is therefore important for us to continue fighting hard so that each workplace can be as safe as possible.
