Mumbai:Cambridge University Press launches Cambridge Learn, strengthening its commitment to digital innovation for education in India.Cambridge Learn is a first-of-its kind comprehensive digital learning solution, comprising of books and learning resources on a tablet. With the potential to transform teaching and learning for teachers and students, Cambridge Learn is leading the revolution in digital learning in schools following Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) and IB (International Baccalaureate) programmes and qualification in India.
Speaking on the launch of Cambridge Learn, Ratnesh Kumar Jha, Managing Director, Cambridge University Press, South Asia, said “Cambridge Learn is in line with our digital vision which is driven by a simple goal of creating resources that helps in igniting curiosity and love for learning in teachers and students alike.”
Cambridge Learn is a complete teaching and learning programme that would enable the introduction and optimum use of technology in the classrooms. This new solution is a comprehensive digital solution designed to bring all the key stake holders into its fold – the teachers, the students and the school – with distinct benefits for all.
A classroom at any stage of digital sophistication can easily adapt Cambridge Learn and integrate it seamlessly into the current system of the school. The programme has been devised to work on any platform - Android, iOS and Windows - and is designed to bring benefits to teachers and students alike. Schools have the ability to customise tablets for individual students and teachers.
Cambridge Learn functions as a teacher’s assistant, augmenting their capabilities with specific features that include teacher’s plans for the year ahead, schedules of activities and assessments, advanced lesson planning and assessment plans to help teachers track individual students’ performance levels per subject. Itcomplements existing teaching resources by providing books used by schools as ebooks, integrating simple yet effective learning management. It also provides easy information access for parents.
Podar International School, Mumbai is the first school to adopt this digital solution from Cambridge University Press .
