Mumbai, 18 September 2012: Department of Cardiovascular Surgery at Nanavati Hospital is celebrating the World Heart Week from 20th September to 25th September this year. It is conducting a camp for heart diagnosis and checkup on 21st, 22nd and 23rd of September. The timings for the camp are 4pm to 8 pm on first two days and 9 am to 2 pm on the last day of the camp.

People with heart valve disease or other cardiac problems from Mumbai and adjoining areas can visit the camp.  The cardiology team headed by Dr. Pavan Kumar, Consultant Cardiovascular Surgeon will provide complete diagnosis and checkup. Also the people, who have recently been advised by their doctors to go for heart operations, can visit this camp and get expert suggestions for the same.

“Prevention is the word” says Dr. Pavan Kumar.  He says “With the changing lifestyle pattern and busy schedule, people often tend to ignore the health of their heart. Diagnosis of heart diseases in the early stage could prevent severe hazards in future. It is our pleasure to organize this camp on the occasion of World Heart Day and provide with the proper diagnosis and treatment to the people. This will help them to understand the disease at an initial stage and take preventive measures as advised. Heart valve disease is increasing at an alarming rate these days, so at this camp we will focus to diagnose people suffering from this disease and provide them with the best treatment options. People should be aware of the various cardiac problems and its symptoms.  I wish everyone a healthy heart and happy life.”Contact at this number for registration- 98203 32515
