Outstanding Student of Management

Award presented by BMA

 

On the basis of academic performance and Co-curricular activities, Ruth Serrao was honored to receive ‘The Best Outstanding Student of the Management Award’ presented by ‘35^th Bombay Management Association Award Cermony 2012-13’ recently at Y. B. Chauhan Centre, Nariman point. Ms Ruth received the award from Mr. P Ramakrishnan, President- Bombay Management Association & Mr. O.P Bhatt Former CMD- State bank of India. Prof S.K Bhattarcharya, Director Atharva School of Business accompanied Ruth for receiving the award.

She thanked Shri Sunil Rane Sir- Executive President for always encouraging the students to perform well in academics and also to be an active member in college events, Prof. N.S Rajan Sir for being her mentor and guiding steps, Prof S.K Bhattarcharya and Prof. PP Joshi all teaching and non- teaching faculty, family and friends.

Ruth Serrao, who was born on 10th, March, 1990 at Mumbai, Maharashtra into a Christian family is the second daughter to his parents & did her schooling from a convent school from St. Lawrence high School where she was an active student and was a head girl. Later opted for commerce and joined M.V.L.U College Andheri for the same, where she secured 79% in H.S.C. Then she decided to do her Bachelor in Management and opted for B.M.S from Shri Chinai College of Commerce and Economics where she did well in her academics with outstanding grade in overall 6 semesters and was also active member in various organizing events at college.

Later Ruth decided to get hands on experience before pursuing for professional Management course and joined Infinite Computing System Pvt Ltd associated with HR team. She received couple of awards like Star performer and Best Female cricketer in her tenure of 2 years and overall good professional knowledge.

With her baby steps in the industry she decided to purse full time MBA from Mumbai University and got admission in Atharva Institute of Management studies. It was a year full of events, project, assignment and altogether a lot of learning. Ruth was actively involved in all internal events like seminar’s, workshop, panel discussion, college festival and also external events like seminar and activities organized my AIMA & BMA in the current year. Hosted many events organized by college and professional bodies also hosted Press conference for Indian Princess- A unique beauty pageant. From academics point of view was the 1st ranker in both the semesters in class with excellent grades. 

A message to all the students from Ruth Serrao would be – ‘Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow has not yet come. We have only today. Let us begin.” ― Mother Teresa. Value your time and do justice to your family, friends and relatives by working hard each movement and set a goal which is realistic and each day be passionate about your goal until you achieve it and there on set new goals.Keep Your Commitments and Work with Others and Share Easily’.
