'Conference of Cyber Crime Control' had Excellent response with the 'C4 Awards 2015'




The first-ever Cyber Awards  of India 

an initiative by 

‘C4-Conference of Cyber Crime Control” held 

in Mumbai with Government, Corporate's

 Educationalists, Entertainment &Media 

on the same platform

Mumbai 28th July 2015: In the ongoing “Conference of Cyber Crime Control” a synonym to C4 in Mumbai,  The cyber experts were awarded with the ‘C4 Awards 2015’ for their contribution to securing cyberspace and controlling cyber crime .

In its first year Representatives from corporates like Reliance Industries, Price WaterCooper, KPMG, ICICI, Flipkart ,SBI, Citibank, Deloitte, Ace, Tata Consultancy Services, E&Y, Vodafone  and many more were part of the delegation and panelists This was first ever conglomeration of Government, Corporate ,educational institutes and media coming together to create awareness on Cyber Crime Control.


Awareness on Internet as a medium to trade has opened up avenues for several e-commerce websites which is a positive sign however, it has also been easier for the miscreants to trade illegal things within a brink of an eye. Forget security companies as citizens we should be responsible for our own data which we save and share on our systems is something that the organizers and panelists were emphasizing .

Shri KP Bakshi (Addl Chief Secretary Home ,Maharashtra ), Shri Atulchandra Kulkarni (IPS Joint Commissioner of Police Crime Mumbai ), Mr Madan Mohan (Deputy DG Dept of Telecommunications Govt of India ), Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap along with Cyber Celebrity Awardee-TV Actress Kritika Kamra also were present at the occasion.


Minister of State for Home – Urban, Mr. Ranjit Patil, who addressed the gathering after presenting the awards said, “This is a wonderful initiative taken up by the Cyber Crime Wing, Mumbai Police in association with Asian School of Cyber Laws and IIT Bombay, which ensures that the digital world today and in the future shall remain safe.” Shri Atulchandra Kulkarni (Joint commissioner of police crime,Maharashtra thanked all the delegates and organizers encouraging them to make C4 bigger and better in the coming years.


The brainchild behind this initiative and the Additional Commissioner of Police – Crime, Mr. KMM Prasanna explained about the awards, "These awards are to identify, recognize and promote people to acknowledge ,appreciate and  encourage  their extraordinary efforts in creating awareness about cyber security by reaching out to maximum no  of people through their own methods".

This event is organized  by the Home Department, Government of Maharashtra, Cyber Crime Wing, Mumbai Police, IIT Bombay and Asian School of Cyber Laws.
