ROBOTS Arrive at Titanic Belfast, Northern Ireland

One of Europe’s largest privately owned collections of robots, cyborgs and androids have recently arrived at Titanic Belfast for its ROBOTS Summer exhibition, which will run up to 13th September 2015.

The collection of movie props and costumes, including Iron Man, R2-D2 and T-800 from Terminator, which are on loan from the Museum of Movie Magic, Scotland, have taken center stage at Titanic Belfast’s ROBOTS exhibition. Thousands of visitors are expected to travel from far and wide to enjoy the eclectic collection from props used on-screen to personal robots, toys and sculptures.



With over 50 robots on display, the exhibition has something for children and adults alike. Film fans won’t be disappointed with Sonny from I, Robot, the B9 robot from Lost in Space and the cyborg RoboCop on the bill.  Enduring family favourites such as the stars from Star Trek, Red Dwarf and Robby the Robot from Forbidden Plant are also on display.

For those who prefer ‘the dark side’, robots like ABC robot from Judge Dredd and a Sontaran from Doctor Who are awaiting Northern Ireland visitors at the largest ROBOT exhibition in Northern Ireland.

About Titanic Belfast

Titanic Belfast is an iconic six-floor building featuring nine interpretive and interactive galleries that explore the sights, sounds, smells and stories of Titanic, as well as the City and people which made her. It is the World’s Largest Titanic exhibition.
The building houses temporary exhibits, a banqueting suite, education and community facilities, catering and retail space, and a basement car park. Visitors learn about the construction of RMS Titanic and the wide and rich story of Northern Ireland’s industrial and maritime heritage. Supported by the Northern Ireland Executive, Titanic Belfast is a unique public/private partnership funded by the Northern Ireland Tourist Board, Belfast City Council, Belfast Harbour and Titanic Quarter Ltd. Mayor praises the footballing talent of Mumbai as he announces young stars will travel to London

The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, announced the names of the successful youngsters on the first day of his trade mission to India. Sadiq was attending the ninth annual finals day of the Mumbai Soccer Challenge and watched a challenge match to win the inaugural Mayor of London Cup. He confirmed that, for the first time in the scheme’s nine-year history, two girls as well as two boys will be heading to London.
