DTDC kick-starts its unique campaign of ‘Last Mile with a Smile’.

Mumbai, Bangalore January 19, 2016: DTDC Express Limited has launched a first of its kind initiative ‘Last Mile with a Smile’ in line with the company’s vision of ‘Inclusiveness’. Through this initiative, the top ‘C’ level management will be leading the DTDC delivery line-up from the front to personally deliver packages to consumers every month. As a first step towards a vision of creating a ‘Digital DTDC’ the announcement of the launch of its new app - ‘Smart Track’, was done amidst flagging off of this initiative which will enable the delivery persons to effectively manage tracking of the packages throughout the delivery cycle.
Amid warm response from the customers in Mumbai and Bangalore, Mr. Subhasish Chakraborty, Chairman & Managing Director and Mr. Abhishek Chakraborty, Executive Director – DTDC Express Limited delivered shipments in the January phase of the campaign, to further deepen the culture of last mile with a smile across the organization.

The Smart Track app will generate near-instant delivery updates and shipment tracking to all stakeholders including Franchisee, DTDC managers & Customers. The app is launched across 8 major cities viz. Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Ahmedabad and Pune on 18th January, 2016. DTDC’s aim is to implement the Smart Track App across 6000 handsets across DTDC and its franchisee network by the end of calendar year 2016.
