Surti, the place best known for its Gujarti cuisine, for so many years which is standing tall & fresh since     years and is  even better now. Its located right into the heart of Bhuleshwar to say the least, at one corner of it.There is no fancy decor to offer here , but only authentic "Value for Money" High Quality Specialized Gujarati  food & other food from diffrent regions  Surti serves  very good Gujrati Thalis, and speciality being Undhiyu. During season, hot-selling dish here, served with puris. The Special Undhiyu is Specially prepared from fresh Organic Vegetables procured daily from Surat.

According to Mr. Gajanan Anant Nayak, Owner, the cuisine changes with the seasonal availability of vegetables in summer when mangoes are ripe & widely available in market e.g., “Keri no Ras” is often an integral part of the meal. The spices used also change depending on the season. Garam Masala and its constitute spices are used less in summer. Regular fasting with diets limited to milk, Dry Fruits and nuts are commonly used liberally which makes it delicious & healthy .

Gujarati Cuisine is also distinctive  with  its large  array  of Farsan , Side dishes that compliment the main course meal and are served alongside it. Farsans are eaten as snacks or light meals by themselves.

For special occasions, this basic quartet is supplemented with additional shaak, dishes, and Farsan. A festive Gujrati Thali often contain over a dozen items. Dietary rules restrict the permissible combination of dishes.

The menu now includes a full fledge Punjabi cuisine, South Indian snacks, Chinese , Pav Bhaji, Sandwiches & Fresh fruit Juices along with authentic Gujarati  menu, etc.

According to Mr. Sankarshan Gajanan Nayak, second Generation Restaurateur, apart from these dishes, Surti also serves nice enough North Indian dishes.Of North Indian dishes in vegetables, Veg Dewana, Veg Kadai, Veg Badshah are ones to try out along with indian Bread including  rotis, paratha, naan, puris, chapatis, Bajra & Makai  Rotla, etc.

In rice dishes, dal tadka, jeera rice, veg biryani, dal khichdi, typical gujju style with kadi, are worth trying. You can ask for masala chhass or plain chhass bottle, to go with your dine. The service here is fast and  orders are served well within time, it gets a bit crowded during weekends, but that is understandable.

To review it at end, nice simple place, famous for its Gujrati Cuisine for long, but surely for all types of  Cuisine which are Value-for-Money Tasty, Delicious, Lip Smacking, and Healthy as well.
