Aamby Valley City in association with Western India Automobile Association announces the second edition of ‘WOMEN’S RALLY TO THE VALLEY’

4th March, 2016: Aamby Valley City, Independent India’s first planned hill city, and WIAA (Western India Automobile Association) over a press conference, announced the launch of second edition of ‘Women’s Rally to The Valley’. This all women car rally is set to create awareness for women safety in our society and celebrate the spirit of womanhood - full of fun, adventure and compassion. The Drive will kick start from Hotel Sahara Star, Mumbai on 6th March 2016 at 7am. Ms. Valsa Nair Singh, IAS, Principal Secretary, Tourism and Culture, Government of Maharashtra will flag off the event from Hotel Sahara Star and participants will drive to Aamby Valley City. The grand rally will witness more than 1000 women in 240 Cars. ‘Women’s Rally to The Valley’ will be conducted in Time/Speed/Distance (TSD) format, which is in compliance with the International sporting code.
The rally will pass through Worli Sea Face, Peddar Road, Chowpatty, Marine Drive, Churchgate leading up all the way to India’s finest hilly abode, Aamby Valley City. En route the all women participants will spread awareness about various issues affecting women by displaying impactful social messages of women safety. In the recent times our society is witnessing increase in attack on women making it imperative to create awareness amongst the citizens of our society. ‘The Women’s Rally to The Valley’ will serve the purpose to encourage women to voice themselves and demand a safe society and what better way to celebrate the Women’s Day.
