NECC & Venky's Nutrition felicitates the Indian Boxing Contingent

Pune, Maharasthra, November 5, 2012  World's largest single association of Poultry farmers ; National Egg Co-ordination Committee (NECC) & Venky's Nutrition dedicated to the vision of "To be the Global Leaders in Sports Nutrition & enable India to lead in all Sports Arenas." felicitated the Indian Boxing Contingent who made the country proud by representing India in the London Olympics 2012. With this Venky's has continued its patronage of supporting sports since years.

Mr. Venkateshwar Rao, Vice Chairman, NECC and Joint Managing Director, V H Group and Mr. Abhay Singh Chautala, Chairman, Indian Boxing Federation gave away cash prize worth Rs. 27 lacs to the team at an event held in Pune.

Bronze medal winner Mary Kom was awarded with cash prize of Rs.10 lacs and other members of the team Vijender Singh, Devendro Singh, Shiva Thapa, Jai Bhagwan, Manoj Kumar, Vikas Krishan Yadav and Sumit Sangwan were awarded with cash prize of Rs.1 lac each. Support staff comprising of 5 coaches, 2 doctors and 2 managers also received Rs. 1 lac each as a token of appreciation for their efforts in the London Olympics 2012.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Venkateshwar Rao, Vice Chairman, NECC and Joint Managing Director, V H Group, said, "We had announced the cash awards for the winners as well as pocket money for the members of the Indian boxing contingent before the opening of the London Olympics 2012 to motivate the Indian boxers and we are now delivering our promise as they made the country proud with their performance." "We have recently signed up Mary Kom as Brand ambassadors for NECC, he added.

Mr. Abhay Singh Chautala, President, Indian Boxing Federation, said, "We are grateful to NECC & Venky's for coming forward and supporting the players and staff of our team. "
