celebrates a decade of Hardys in India

Mumbai 31 October 2012:Cecilia Oldne, Global Brand Ambassador at Sula Vineyards|Sula Selections hosted a Hardys Wine and Vinoteca Tapas soiree to celebrate almost a decade of Hardys existence in India. This in the presence of Catherine Gwynne Regional Director - Americas, Middle East, Central Asia & Africa, Accolade Wines (Hardys) and Steve Waters, The Australian Consul General, at Vinoteca by Sula. Also joining Cecilia in the celebration were  Jade Jagger, Chef Silvia Grimaldo, Steve Waters - Consul General of Australia, Catherine Gwynne of Hardys Wines, Anil Chopra, Bandana Tiwari and Mathieu Gugumus Leguillon  among others.

The Hardys Stamp range of wines has been part of Sula Selections’ portfolio for almost a decade.Sula Selections is the import arm of Sula Vineyards and the 5^th largest importer in the country.Hardys is synonymous with quality Australian wines across the globe. Sula Selections understands the proposition of premium value Australian wines and has spent the part of a decade ensuring India feels the same way about Hardys.

Catherine Gwynne manages Hardys across the Americas, Africa, Middle-East and Asia. Catherine also completes a decade in the wine and spirit industry this year. She began her foray into the industry as a Researcher and Journalist for IWSR( International Wine and Spirit Research), specializing in Asia and Latin America, where she met key decision makers in the international drinks scene and elicited their thoughts on the principal issues and challenges of the category. Following that she joined Constellation Wines as an International Sales Manager responsible for driving wine sales across many major global markets. She currently manages sales for Accolade Wines which includes Hardys Winery across a wide geography that extends from India to America.

With over 150 years of wine making experience, the Hardys stamp range, released in 1988, is a realisation of founder Thomas Hardy’s vision of creating vibrant wines emotive of the Australian terrain and winemaking styles. The unique labelling features original 1937 Australian postage stamps. The range available in India through Sula Selections includes Hardys Stamp Sparkling Chardonnay-Pinot Noir, Riesling-Gewurztraminer, Chardonnay-Semillon, Cabernet-Merlot and Cabernet-Shiraz.

Vinoteca by Sula is inspired by the convivial neighborhood wine bars of Spain. The small plates of delicious, authentic tapas and pintxos are prepared by our Spanish chef, Silvia Grimaldo using fresh seasonal produce as well as organic ingredients sourced from Sula’s own estate gardens.
