Gallery Green’s Maiden Exhibition Features Lord Krishna & Ganesha

Gallery Green, Eastern India’s premiere art platform for the up and coming
artists, photographers and painters, is organising its maiden art exhibition in
Mumbai showcasing around 30 paintings and sketches depicting Lord Krishna and
Lord Ganesha through the eyes of contemporary Bengal artists.
The week long exhibition
titled Shilpanjali on Lord Krishna and Lord Ganesha began at the Kamalnayan
Bajaj Hall and Art Gallery yesterday. The Exhibition was inaugurated by Joint
Commissioner of Mumbai Police R N D’souza who praised the artists for bringing
such variety to the floor.
Gallery Green, an
initiative of India Green Reality Pvt Ltd, is one of its kind platform that
encourages young and talented artists to come forward and exhibit their work.
While part of the sales goes to the painters, who find this platform as a
regular source of income, part goes to an NGO Khushee that helps poor children
get education.
Gallery Green also boasts
of Eastern India’s first digital Art Gallery
www.gallerygreen.in that hosts paintings and photographs that can be
purchased online.
“We love art. We needed
to do something for the young artists from Bengal and hence this concept
developed. We will take this exhibition to all four metro cities and other
centres where there is a demand for art,” said Amitabha Samanta, Director,
India Green Reality Pvt Ltd.
The themes have been
selected keeping in mind the fact that the exhibition is taking place between
Janmastami and Ganesh Chaturthi.
