Volkswagen India marks record delivery in the state of Kerala on the first day of Chingam

         Volkswagen Kochi alone delivered 40 cars in one day

Kochi, August 19, 2016: With the beginning of festive season of Onam, Volkswagen, Europe’s leading car manufacturer, added to its customer’s celebration by marking a record delivery of 148 cars. These deliveries were made across the state of Kerala on the first day of Chingam, Malayalam New year.
This is one of the highest deliveries reported from Kerala in a single day. Another great accomplishment was achieved by Volkswagen Kochi, which delivered 40 cars in one day, marking the highest ever bulk delivery done from a single outlet in Kerala on a single day.
On this occasion, Mr. Michael Mayer, Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars India said, “Kerala continues to be an important market for Volkswagen and the custom of celebrating the festive season in a unique way further motivates us to make great effort towards enhancing customer delight. We are happy to be a part of such an auspicious occasion in our customer’s life.”

Mayor praises the footballing talent of Mumbai as he announces young stars will travel to London

The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, announced the names of the successful youngsters on the first day of his trade mission to India. Sadiq was attending the ninth annual finals day of the Mumbai Soccer Challenge and watched a challenge match to win the inaugural Mayor of London Cup.
