The best of Indian heritage – Paramparik Karigar is back

Mumbai : It is the celebration of India’s traditional textiles, art and craft. 2016 also marks the 20th year of Paramparik Karigar – an association of craftspersons.
To celebrate the pride of our heritage, Paramparik Karigar is returning with a four day exhibition and sale of products at the World Trade Center Mumbai Expo Centre between 19th and 22nd of August, 2016. The exhibition is sponsored by Yes Bank.
Paramparik Karigar is an NGO of Indian artisans run by volunteers. Traditional textiles, art and craft will be displayed for sale at the exhibition by the 103 artisans, who will be showcasing their exquisite work themselves.
A wide range of textiles will be on sale, including Patan Patola, Ashavalli, Benarasi, Kota, Leheriya, Bandhni, Paithani, Tribal weaves, Kunbi, Ikkat, Cotton shawls, Kantha, Kasuti, Kanchivaram, Ajrakh, Jamdani, Dabbu, Tussore, Maheshwari, Chanderi, Bagru, Soof and Pashmina.
In addition, arts and crafts will include Pattachitra, Miniature paintings, Mithila, Kalamkari, Phad, Kansakam, Silver filigree, Enamel jewellery, Gadwakam, Pottery, Lohakam, Matani Pachedi, Juttis and Kolhapuris, Mysore art and many others.
