Angrezi Dhaba & Muskaan Foundation celebrates Muskaan Foundation Day in Mumbai

Mumbai 8th Feb 2019: The world is celebrating Valentine’s week, with rose day, chocolate day, and hug day ending with Valentine’s Day on the 14th Feb but this organisation based in Mumbai has found a noble way to celebrate the festival of love. In a humble way of spreading love in the city, Angrezi Dhaba an eclectic multi cuisine restaurant in Dadar played host to around 100 underprivileged children with multiple disabilities along with parents at their Dadar outlet. Joining hands with Muskaan Foundation, Mumbai based NGO working towards helping and rehabilitating children with multiple disabilities; Angrezi Dhaba is spreading love to these children as gesture of social responsibility and ensured that the children were the stars of the show.

The event saw the presence of Shri. Raj Sadvilkar(Director, Angrezi Dhaba), Ms. Dipti Gandhi (Founder, Muskaan Foundation) and Shri Sanjay Gandhi (Trustee, Muskaan Foundation) alongwith several children and parents.  Mr. Raj Sadvilkar, Director Angrezi Dhaba shared “It is heartening to see organizations like Muskaan Foundation who are doing their bit to ease and rehabilitate children with multiple disabilities, Angrezi Dhaba is proud to be associated with such a noble cause towards the society and we continue to take our mission further with similar activities in the future .


Ms. Dipti Gandhi, Founder, Muskaan Foundation added, “Our organisation is a self-sustaining setup. And this year we didn't have funds to celebrate our annual day.  We are thus extremely thankful and happy that the directors of Angrezi Dhaba came forward with their support. Our parents and kids had a  great time here dining and enjoying, since they rarely get to enjoy”.

The children took part in many activities like games, skits, and several other performances. The complete atmosphere was filled with loads of joy and brought smiles on their little faces. Mr. Sharad Palkar, father of Borivali based, 3year old Aaradhya having vision defect and getting treated at Muskaan Foundation while sharing his happiness quoted "Aaradhya had so much fun today coming here. They made her feel really very special. She danced her heart out on her favourite 'Zingaat' song”.  The kids also took part in singing and games like passing the parcel, housie, talent hunt etc. Mahesh Pandit, father of 6 year old Vaibhavi Pandit, "We see Vaibhavi smiling very rarely. This moment was very heartening to see"

In their initiative of giving back to the society, Angrezi Dhaba as part of their CSR activity is helping Muskaan foundation celebrate their annual day on a grand scale. Muskaan foundation is an NGO which is working to help and rehabilitate children with multiple disabilities who are underprivileged. Mr Raj Sadvilkar further added, “We have always believed in paying in forward. And this endeavor is giving us an ideal platform to make a difference to the society”.
