WORTH DEALS IN THE FIRST FEW HRS @ BUYER SELLER MEET: INDIA PACK
2013 UNDER MINISTRY
OF COMMERCE'S MARKET ACCESS INITIATIVE SCHEME
After a glorious
inauguration by Dr.(Mrs), Purandeswari, Honourable Minister of state for
Commerce, the buyer seller meet at IndiaPack 2013 got off to a very promising
start.
Business worth
over 50000USD was confirmed within a few hours on the first day
itself.
The seven
countries who participated in the Buyer Seller meet were Bangladesh, Kenya,
Nigeria, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Tanzania and Taiwan.
Welcoming the
participating countries, Mr. S K Ray, Chairman IIP said, “ the world today is
very different from the world in which I grew up. There is no face to face
connect with the buyers and sellers because of digital media. We think that this
maiden initiative of Buyer Seller meet will be beneficial for the industry.
Thank you for joining us here and have a productive business year in
2013.
The buyer seller
meet is organized under the aegis of an ongoing scheme (Market Access
Initiative) by the Ministry of Commerce, Gov't of India. Its main objective is
to evaluate better export prospects.
Dr. N C Saha,
Director IIP added, “ IIP has started this initiative for the first time. We
invited industries from abroad by writing to the consulates of various
countries. We also invited the members of World Packaging Organization and Asian
Packaging Federation. The success of this meet has been possible by the presence
of a lot of people.”
