Micro Technologies (India) Ltd., (MTIL: BSE 532494 & NSE: MICROTECH) a leading global developer and marketer of state-of-the-art security devices and solutions today announces that it has developed and launched a new high-tech version of Micro Vehicle Black Box integrated with Fuel Sensor to be deployed in an established municipal corporation’s vast fleet in western India as its first client for the new product.

The lucrative contract involves implementation of Vehicle Tracking Management System (VTMS) including supply, installation, configuration and maintenance of necessary hardware and IT applications.

Curbs Alarming Vehicle & Fuel Thefts

The latest National Crime Records Bureau report says 'auto theft' in the country accounted for 44.4% (1, 51,200 cases) of the total theft cases, which accounted for an increase of 2.5% in 2011. The urban agglomeration centres accounted for 38.8% (67,880 out of 1, 51,200 cases) of the total auto theft cases in the country. In 2011, diesel mafias operated a racket worth Rs 50 to 60 Cr at India’s major port trust alone. Unique Features of Micro VBB:

Micro VBB Tracker with Fuel Sensor is a GPS based innovative system for vehicle monitoring and tracking. Micro VBB hardware embedded in vehicle is integrated with web based interface called as Micro FMS using GIS, GSM /GPRS/SMS. It furnishes timely and useful  reports on transit thefts, deviations from defined routes, missed pickups or deliveries, unsafe driving habits, consignment tracking, delivery schedules, inaccurate fuel and mileage records, excessive fuel consumption and maintenance costs. It is facilitated with web map on demand tracking. It comes with many useful features like:

• Advanced GIS Interface: Enables the user to get the GPS based location of the vehicle on map
• IP65 Enclosure: Provides complete protection from dust, oil, other non-corrosive material and water
• Location Identifier: To get the GSM based location of the vehicle
• Battery Backup: In case the vehicle battery is disconnected, then Micro VBB Tracker will be automatically switched to the provided internal battery backup facility
• Battery Alerts: SMS alert in case internal / vehicle battery gets low or in case internal/vehicle battery connected/disconnected
• Device Protection: An SMS alert in case anyone attempts to tamper the device
