TiE Entreprenur Summit - 

 ‘Mahakumbh’ for Entrepreneurs

The annual  flagship event of TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs), called TiE

Entrepreneur Summit (TES) which was held in Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai over 2 days this  week, saw more than 1500 participants, 65+ investors including venture   capitalists, private equity funds, angel investors, incubators, service  providers among others. The key speakers for the two day event included names  like Harsh Mariwala of Marico, Sunil Munjal of Hero Group, Ajay Piramal of  Piramal Group, Dr. Ganesh Natarajan of Zensar Technologies.

Mr. Pradeep Udhas President of  TiE Mumbai said “This is our seventh year of  the summit and with each year we see increased interest and participation in  our annual event. The number of youngsters taking the risk of becoming an   entrepreneur has also grown manifold. This augurs very well for the India  growth story.”

TES hosted various services providers which help entrepreneurs get  access to marketing consultants, financial advisers and human resource  solutions at this event. The summit also saw successful entrepreneurs sharing  their experience and success formula during session like the ‘Smashup  Chambers’ in an open discussion with gathered delegates.

Mr. Kanchan Kumar, Executive Director of TiE Mumbai said “This year we focused on  three sectors i.e. technology, healthcare and consumer 

businesses. We saw many  budding and young entrepreneurs seeking advice, mentoring and knowledge sharing  with experienced entrepreneurs and industry leaders in a platform which is  difficult to access under the same roof.”

TES saw a large number of speakers from various industries taking stage that includes BS Nagesh (Trrain), Mahesh Murthy of Pinstorm, Manu Sharma  of Linkedin, Vishal Gondal or Indiagames. The Summit also saw separate panels on start ups, taxation and media & entertainment. TES also organized mentoring session  sand scaling up advice by veteran entrepreneurs.
