Ganesh Gupta bags president award for his contribution to Indian industry

Mumbai, India, 18th May 2016: Mr Ganesh Kumar Gupta, ex- President of Federation of Indian Export Organisation(FIEO) is being awarded for his immense contribution to Indian industry by the president of India Pranab Mukherjee. The award ceremony was held in Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi. The nominees were also felicitated with “Niryat Shree” and “Niryat Bandhu”.
Mr. Gupta is Chairman of Aakash Textiles Exports Pvt. Ltd and  Vijay Silk House group, an award winning company for outstanding export performance having its centres in Mumbai, Surat, Bengaluru and Varanasi; ex-President, Federation of Indian Exports Organisation (FIEO) Jan 2007- Dec 2008; ex-Chairman, Textiles Committee, Mar. 2001 – Aug. 2004; ex- Vice President, FIEO Jan 2005 - Dec 2006; ex- Director, Export Credit Guarantee Corporation; ex-Member, National Productivity Council, Government of India;  ex-Chairman of Synthetic & Rayon Textile Export Promotion Council (SRTEPC) Jan 2009- Dec. 2010 & Dec 1998-May 2000, FIEO (Western Zone) Jan 2005- Dec 2006 and The Indian Silk Export Promotion Council (ISEPC) September, 1990 – August, 1993.
He is also a former member of the Governing Committee, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Institute of Textile Management (NTC Staff College, Coimbatore), National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) and Central Silk Board (CSB); founder member of Powerloom Development Export Promotion Council (PDEXCIL); current Chairman of Indian Exporters Grievances Forum and Chairman of Shri Sai Baba Charitable Trust Mumbai.

Bringing together the power of technology with the world’s most efficient network of Mumbai d abbawalas , it was launched after a successful beta testing phase.  Papers N Parcels, the app-based courier service, has tied up with the Mumbai Dabbawalas to leverage the award-winning network of over 5000 dabbawalas  for door-to-door delivery and pick-up of packages within Mumbai City limits. Mayor praises the footballing talent of Mumbai as he announces young stars will travel to London

The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, announced the names of the successful youngsters on the first day of his trade mission to India. Sadiq was attending the ninth annual finals day of the Mumbai Soccer Challenge and watched a challenge match to win the inaugural Mayor of London Cup. He confirmed that, for the first time in the scheme’s nine-year history, two girls as well as two boys will be heading to London. The Mayor was joined at the finals day by Bollywood screen legend and the co-owner of Mumbai City football club, Ranbir Kapoor, as well as the Chairman of Queens Park Rangers, Tony Fernandes.
