Bollywood ace choreographer and Ballroom Dancer Sandip Soparrkar awarded with "Youth Star" award 2015-16

The greatest wealth and strength of any nation is its youth. The quality of its youth determines the kind of future, the nation will have, the youth of any country and society are its potential energy. They are the powerhouse and storehouse of infinite energy. They are the ones who are the pride of the nation. India’s only youth radio station “Radio One” came up with an unique concept “Youth Star Award 2015-2016” to honor youth stars who are youth icons of India for their incredible contribution in their respective field.  The very first award show was headed by Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan as the youth icon. 


Sandip Soparrkar honoured with "Youth Star Award" 2015-16 for his contribution in the field of dance. The award was presented by advisory board member of PM of India and Padmashree recipient Mrs. Lila Poonawala.

Sandip Soparrkar said, " I am thankful to Radio One and Sabina Sanghvi for this honour and I feel truly humbled to receive this award from Mrs. Poonawala, I still remember almost 20 years back when I did not have money to pay for my enrolment in the dance teachers training course in Germany, she was he one who paid for my admission fee. If it was not for her I would not have been able to do my certification course in dance." 


Other recipients of Youth Star award were India's Sky diving expert Padmashree Mrs. Shital Mahajan Rane, Artist cum Fashion Designer Jayesh Sachdev and more. The award encourages the youth role models, young and youthful at heart to live their dreams by showcasing their achievements to people of India from various fields. Be it cricket, movies, business, start-ups, art, entertainment, Radio One will now tell stories of the odds that these special young stars overcame to reach their goals and come out as winners.
