Institute of Indian Interior Designers Anchor Awards 2015

December 20th Coimbatore –Institute of Indian Interior Designers (IIID) in collaboration with Anchor by Panasonic, a wholly owned subsidiary of Panasonic Corporation celebrates excellence in Interior Design for the fourth successive year. In the 18th year of the Awards, IIID takes forward its legacy of excellence for hosting the most coveted award in the country. Senior Management of Anchor Electricals Pvt. Ltd as well as IIID were present at the function.

A pan India event, contesting in the IIID-Anchor awards is an unparalleled experience, with the designers, showcasing their work & competing with the best in their region & the country. It is conducted at two levels:Zonal and National; with the winners of the Zonal level qualifying for the National adjudication. The unique format that is fine-tuned over the years ensures widespread participation and aims to identify emerging talent. It also works as a great leveler by showcasing work and aspirations of designers and clients from across the country.

Eminent architects, interior designers, design consultants, academicians, artists and editors as jury holistically review and critique the designs in a process that is very transparent and efficient. Mr.Srinivasarao Pattur, Jury member, design thinker and doer states,“As a jury we were keen on identifying the thought leaders, thinkers and trendsetters in the profession. It is not about winners and losers but about those who pushed the boundaries and raised the bars. It’s all about celebrating novel thinking and doing”

Chairperson IIID Coimbatore, Mr. Mani Maran says “Having the award function at Coimbatore will definitely inspire the entire design community to a new level of competence and exposure. The students of architecture in particular, will be able to realize the potential of interior design as a promising profession” The entries were received for ten categories from Zone 1 comprising of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Goa and Tamil Nadu.     

Khosla Associates have been declared winners in Residential single dwelling, Retail, Leisure & Entertainment, Between Spaces as winners in commercial small, Praxis Inc as winners in commercial work place large & Hospitality,AR & DE  as winners in Product design. In addition, there are Runner Up and Commendation awards. Local firm ‘Oculus-The Building laboratory’ from Coimbatore are awarded a commendation in the retail category.  

Collaboration between IIID and Anchor

As a part of Panasonic Corporation, Anchor has unveiled path-breaking products for the nation under Anchor and Panasonic Brands. IIID honors and fosters excellence in interior design for residential, commercial, & industrial spaces through these awards.
