Mumbai, Maharashtra, India:MR & MISS WHEELCHAIR INDIA(MMWI)a unique and one of its kind events organized and performed by Persons on Wheelchairs. MR & MISS. WHEELCHAIR INDIA is a completely different Pageant wherein men and women on wheelchairs or having a disability from across the country get a golden opportunity to be crowned ‘Mr. WHEELCHAIR’ and ‘Miss WHEELCHAIR’ respectively and make a foray into the world of fashion, glamour & entertainment to realize their unfulfilled dream.

MMWI(www.mmwi.in)is consistently trying to bring entertainment into the lives of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) and to provide a platform for PWDsfrom where they can venture into the field of Fashion, Glamour, TV and Media. At this event both (Able& Disabled)get the platform to perform together and also get an exposure to a fully equipped Media Institute to render professional training to the PWDs.

At its third consecutive year of MMWI awardsthe Jury was comprised of Industry experts, representing the top creative minds in the field of Film, TV, Fashion, Glamour, Public Relations, Healthcare and many more. Mr.VickkyIdnaani( Bollywood Fashion Photographer), Kiren Shrivastav  (Founder Fempowerment Awards and CEO ,Molecule Communications ), Ferdinand Rodricks (Director - HandicappedPeople.com NGO), RitikaSahni (Founder Trustee, Trinayani Trust), Shilpa Khushalani (Chief Image Consultant, The Enlighten Studio Image Consultant), Saugat Bhattacharya( Director, TryAngles Pictures), SSumier Pasricha( TV Actor), Xenia Ali (Singer & Composer) and Dr Janardan Ghughe(Physician) just to name a few.

MMWI is the brainchild of Mr. Sounak Banerjee,  who himself is wheelchair bound because of Becker’s MD. This pageant was organized at Hiro Sitaldas Punwani Auditorium, Worli, Mumbai. MMWI is supported by the leading Charitable Trusts and NGOs in the field of Disability.  Bollywood too has supported it, Director Nagesh Kukunoor, Actress Tulip Joshi, Stardust Editor Ram Kamal Mukherjee, KBC Director Aditya Basu are taking an active interest.

Oman Tourism Launches New “www.experienceoman.com” website

The website was lau nched under the patronage of His Highness Sayyid Haitham bin Tariq Al Said, Minister of Heritage and Culture during a gala dinner that was hosted on the sidelines of the 2nd UNWTO/UNESCO World Conference on Tourism and Culture that was recently held in Muscat.
