Inter-School Table Tennis National Championships

INDORE, DECEMBER 8, 2015: Jamnabai Narsee and Father Agnel High School, representing Maharashtra, will  fight it out against champion schools from 18 other states to vie for the prestigious tag of ‘National Schools Champion’ in the two-day 11even Sports Inter-School Table Tennis National Championships, to be played at Abhay Prashal, Indore on December 9 and 10. The championships, under the aegis of TTFI, is being jointly organized by 11even Sports and Madhya Pradesh Table Tennis Association.

Jamnabai Narsee will represent Maharashtra State in the Sr. Boys, Junior Boys and Junior Girls categories, earning this distinction by winning the State Championships held earlier, while Father Agnel will represent the State in the Sr. Girls category. The junior category is for boys and girl up to standard 7, while the senior category is for student from standards 8, 9 and 10.

The battle of champions is expected to be an intensely-fought affair going by the quality of players in the field, which also has around 26 Nationally ranked players in the different age groups, among boys and girls.

The 11even Sports Inter-Schools Table Tennis National Championship 2015 will be the culmination of championships held in all of the 19 states, which saw a huge response and from which the champion teams emerged in the four divisions. Matches were played for junior boys and girls, where players studying up to standard 7 are eligible and senior boys and girls, open to students from standard 8 to 10.

This was announced by one of India’s most decorated and accomplished sports persons and Arjuna Awardee Kamlesh Mehta of 11 even Sports and Om Soni of the Madhya Pradesh Table Tennis Association at a press conference held in Indore on Tuesday.
