Honda Celebrates National Pollution Control Day

New Delhi, December 02, 2015 - To mark the National Pollution Control Day,Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Private Ltd., reached out to ALL two-wheeler customers advocating ways to control pollution.Honda mobilized its entire network of nearly 4000 sales & service touch-points, Mobile Service Vans(MSVs) to spread the message “Say no to Pollution”. Fostering education towards environment and reducing carbon footprints, Honda offered free PUC and emission level check-up for all Honda and Non-Honda. Customers were educated about the importance of regular vehicle maintenance.


On this occasion, Mr. Keita Muramatsu, President & CEO, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India said, “Preserving the environment is among the top priorities for us at Honda.We are committed to 30% CO2 reduction by the end of 2020. We are actively contributing to build a greener tomorrow. In line with our vision of “Blue skies for our children”, this day is focused on creating awareness of how consumers can by reducing, reusing and recycling; cannot only help in reducing carbon footprints but also add upto the larger cause of environment preservation. By activating the campaign through our entire dealership network, we are excited to reach out to maximum 2 wheeler customers and magnify the campaigns impact.”


The National Pollution Control Day is celebrated on the 2nd of December in India, to honor thousands of human beings who had lost their lives to the Bhopal Gas Calamity. It is also celebrated to create awareness among the people and industries about paying great attention towards the need of adhering to the Pollution Control Acts. To drive home the message “How to control pollution”, Honda has further maximized its outreach through specially created message banners at prominent locations on a pan India level besides Honda touch points.
