Supporting the slogan of Hon’ble Prime Minister of India who has urged to by at least one article of Khadi, the chairman KVIC gave the clarion call “ Modi ki Sarkar, Rozgar Aap ke Dwar”. Khadi is a national fabric which has to be taken to every person of the country, He said Chairman KVIC speaking on the occasion informed that KVIC works for the poor in all the nooks and corners of the country and has created a niche in remotes of even J&K where even the state government has not succeeded. The PMEGP Expo of Khadi fest 2016 was
inaugurated in western suburbs of Mumbai ,Borivali by
Shri Vinai Kumar Saxena, Chairman, KVIC. Shri Gopal Shetty, Member of Parliament
was the Chief Guest on this occasion. Chairman KVIC speaking on
the occasion informed that KVIC works for the poor in all the nooks and corners
of the country and has created a niche in remotes of even J&K where even
the state government has not succeeded. He also briefed on the training for
farmers of drought affected Maharashtra and has proved to be a hand holding support
for them by arranging training programmes like food and processing bakery,
spice processing , paper conversion courses, palm leaf cup making,
carpentry and black smithy etc. Round 125 to 150 people will be trained in
the beginning from 15th April 2016.
The motive of this fest is
to provide platform to the VI Entrepreneurs
and artisans to sell their products and
provide them a vast market along with imparting special training. The exhibition will last for
next 20 days. Shri Gopal Shetty, Member
of Parliament speeking on the occasion said that the local man power may be utilized
for the employment generation and upliftment of the downtrodden and poor.
