self-learning as one of the approaches to correcting the education-skills
divide
Going beyond the statistics to understand the
impact of automation and technological change on different populations,
especially, traditionally marginalised groups.
Creating dialogue around systems-thinking and
systems-change, to understand what it takes to work with complex systems to
bring about a long-term impact.

how young women and girls can be supported to make successful school to work
transitions
Listening to and advising young, curious
professionals with an entrepreneurial spirit for their own learning, along with
seeking out projects, identifying supporters, and applying lessons from one
experience to the next.
Mr. Aakash Sethi, CEO Quest
Alliance, said, “Skill profiles are undergoing rapid
changes due to technological advancements, which creates a rising demand for
enhanced digital capabilities. Solidifying basic foundational knowledge through
self-learning, combined with meta-skills for problem solving, remains equally
important, precisely because they provide the foundation for learnability. It
is important to understand a learner and prepare them for the 21st century
where they take charge of their learning and build their own pathways of
success. With the advent of new technologies like AI, Blockchain, and IoT, the
reskilling of young professionals is absolutely critical right now, and is only
possible by adopting self-learning as a solution.”
He added, “In our constant endeavor to promote
digital literacy in India, we have trained more than 40,000 youth in the last 2
years, in over 100 centres, spread across 13 states in the country. At Quest,
our vision is to orient and enable youth towards career development, by
encouraging and helping them to develop the required skill sets for the 21st
century, besides bridging the gap between the current situation and what will
be required in the coming years.”
