Cathay Pacific Airways Announced Appointments for New Management



Mr. Anand Yedery - Regional Head of Marketing and Sales for South Asia, Middle East and Africa
Born and educated in Mumbai, Mr. Anand Yedery has been working with Cathay Pacific since 2004. He joined the airline in the customer services department at Mumbai Airport. In 2007, he moved to the commercial side of business, heading passenger sales for Southern India based out of Chennai. He moved to Mumbai in 2010 to head passenger sales for the Western India region. In August 2014, he was appointed Regional Cargo Manager – South Asia, Middle East and Africa and was heading the business and operations of Cathay Pacific cargo in these three regions. Effective 01 October 2018, he will be responsible for overseeing the business of Cathay Pacific and Cathay Dragon Passenger sales in the said regions and will be based in Mumbai, India.

Mr. Rajesh Menon - Regional Head of Cargo for South Asia, Middle East and Africa
Born and educated in Mumbai, Mr. Rajesh Menon has been working with Cathay Pacific since 2005. He was instrumental in setting up Cathay Pacific Airways operations in Qatar in 2013. Mr. Menon joined the airline as Assistant Airport Services Manager at Mumbai Airport and thereafter, he moved to Chennai as Airport Services Manager. He was appointed Regional Sales & Marketing Manager – South Asia in October 2014 and was responsible for Sales and Marketing for the Passenger Sales business.  Effective 01 October 2018, Mr. Menon will be responsible for overseeing the business of Cathay Pacific Cargo in the said regions and will be based in Mumbai, India.

Mr. Karthik Radhakanthan - Regional Cargo Services Manager for South Asia, Middle East and Africa
Born and educated in Chennai, Mr. Karthik Radhakanthan joined Cathay Pacific as Cargo Manager – South & East India in 2007 and has been instrumental in setting up Cathay Pacific as the number one cargo carrier from South India. Later, in November 2011, he was appointed Cargo Manager – Tamil Nadu, Kerala & East India. Succeeding to that, in December 2013 he was appointed as the Regional Cargo Operations Manager - South Asia, Middle East and Africa. Effective 01 October 2018, Mr. Radhakanthan will be responsible for overseeing the operations of Cathay Pacific Cargo in the said regions and will be based in Chennai, India.

Mr. Abhijit Abhyankar - Regional Head of Marketing and Digital Sales for South Asia, Middle East and Africa
Born and educated in Mumbai, Mr. Abhijit Abhyankar began his career in the Hospitality Industry in 1999 and worked with Ambassador Hotel and Le Meridien & Holiday Inn. In 2004, he joined KLM Royal Dutch Airlines and later Air France – KLM handling Corporate & Trade Sales. Thereafter he worked with Jet Airways in 2008, where he was handling Key Corporate Accounts for India. He joined Cathay Pacific Airways in November 2009 as Corporate Sales Manager and in October 2010 he was appointed Area Sales Manager – Northern India. In October 2014, Mr. Abhyankar was appointed as Regional Marketing Communications Manager – South Asia where he was responsible for the development and execution of all marketing communications activities and sales for direct channels for Cathay Pacific and Cathay Dragon. Effective 01 October 2018 he will be heading marketing and digital and global contact centre sales strategy for the said region and will be based in Mumbai, India.

Mr. Neeraj Tyagi - Regional Head of Business Development for South Asia, Middle East and Africa
Born and educated in Delhi, Mr. Neeraj Tyagi began his career in Customer Services at Delhi Airport with American Airlines in 2005. He then moved to commercial sales in American Airlines managing Corporate Sales as an Account Manager. In 2011, Neeraj joined Cathay Pacific as Corporate Account Manager – North India. After a year he was appointed as the Regional Corporate Sales Manager – South Asia, where he worked until January 2014 before moving to Hong Kong to work in Global Corporate Sales in Cathay Pacific Airways Head Office. In October 2014, Mr. Tyagi was appointed as Cathay Pacific Airways Area Sales Manager – North India where he was responsible for the sales of Cathay Pacific Airways for Northern India region.  Effective 01 October 2018, he will be heading business development strategy for the said region and will be based in Delhi, India.  

Ms. Tanu Lele - Head of Corporate Sales for India
Born and educated in Mumbai, Ms. Tanu Lele has been working with Cathay Pacific since 2008. She joined the airline as Account Manager with the Mumbai Sales team. In 2010, she moved to the Cathay Pacific Holidays team. Later in June 2012 she was appointed Assistant Customer Sales Manager, Direct Sales. Succeeding this, Ms. Lele took up the role of Area Sales Manager – Karnataka where she was responsible for overseeing the sales for Cathay Dragon in Karnataka. Effective 01 October 2018, she will be heading Corporate Sales for Cathay Pacific and Cathay Dragon in India, based in Mumbai.


Mr. Naveed Ahmed Khan - Head of Trade Sales for India
Mr. Naveed Ahmed Khan comes with an education in Hotel Management and work experience of over 18 years. Prior to joining Cathay Pacific Airways, he was employed with Etihad Airways and Jet Airways in commercial roles. He joined Cathay Pacific Airways in July 2008 as Account Manager. In October 2008, he was appointed as Marketing Communications Manager - India, Nepal & Bangladesh. In October 2011 he was appointed as Cargo Manager - Western India, wherein he was responsible for sales and operations. Succeeding this, he took up the role of Area Sales Manager – Andhra Pradesh in October 2012, where he was looking after passenger sales for the region. In October 2014, Mr. Khan was appointed Area Sales Manager – Western India where he was responsible for overseeing Sales for Western India. Effective 01 October 2018, he will be heading Trade Sales for Cathay Pacific and Cathay Dragon in India, based in Mumbai.
